Aqua Adventure Charters is a family owned and operated Maui snuba & snorkeling vessel.

Mike, Gay and Dan have been in the snorkeling and diving business around Maui waters for years. Mike and Dan were captains for another vessel. Gay, Mike’s wife, was the first mate.

After all these years we decided that we could offer something better. We all had been working on large (149 passenger) snorkel boats and felt that we were losing touch with the personal service and the one-on-one interaction that our passengers needed and deserved.

Our answer to this was to downsize and get back to individual attention, instruction and service. This goes against the current trend of larger boats carrying as many passengers as possible.

Thus the Aqua Adventure was born.

After extensive research, Mike and Dan found a boat builder with exactly Aqua Adventure Charters needs in mind. Basically, we had the boat built using our years of experience and understanding of what our passengers wanted. A 50 foot, high speed, snorkel and snuba diving vessel customized to our respects for detail.

Even though we are now the owners, we are still the operators.

Captain Mike, has been operating boats in Maui waters for over 30 years. He knows these waters better than most. His wife Gay, ( 3rd generation Maui BTW ), runs the office for us, and most importantly, she keeps us all in line.

Captain Dan has only 26 years running boats in Maui, but he still does a great job. We think we'll keep him!

Lynette, Dan’s wife, recently made a change to the video program. She is no longer doing video, but doing still photos instead. Lynette realized that with all of the changes in the internet world, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and so on, our guest really wanted the immediate fix that they could post to all of their friends, that day.

Now she produces a flash drive you can take off the boat with you, and plug and play right away. Lynette has also set up a website where you can buy prints, t-shirts, etc. www.aquamotionimages.com

Alexia Kai, Dan and Lynette's daughter, was born on March 30th, 2005. She is the newest addition to the Aqua Adventure family. Can't believe she is 8 now and already wanting to take over. Captain Alexia, here she comes. Wish us all luck!

Captain Darryl (our other brother Darryl) joined us in August 2004. Captain Darryl is a born and raised Maui boy with another 30 years experience working on Maui waters. Not only does he share our love for what we do, but he has also been a close friend of the Aqua Adventure Family for 20 years. We are very happy to have him with us. Thanks Brudda!

As for all of you who have been with us so many times before, you know we lost Snuba Anne. For some strange reason, Anne decided to get married and move off to Florida. We all miss her. On the up side,

Adela stepped in and took her place. Adela showed up one day, fresh off the boat from New Jersey, looking for a job. Adela had no real water experience, but we gave her a shot anyway. Now, she can free dive up to 80 feet and as taken over our head snuba instructor position. People love her.

Glyn is our 1st Mate, and has been with us for 6 years now. He just got his Captains license, and now, we have to train him how to run the boat. Until that time though,

Glyn is your man for some of the best in water snorkel tours on Maui.

We also have Cindy. If you are calling us direct, she is the one you will probably get on the phone. If for any reason you have a hard time understanding her, well, she is multi generation Portuguese / Hawaiian and we have a hard time understanding her ourselves:) That Pidgin Hawaiian thing.

We also have Kathleen, ( AKA Kat ). Kathleen is Gay's sister and she helps us immensely on the phones and with that office stuff.

As you can see, we really are a family owned and operated business. Quality of service, personal attention and fun for all will always be guaranteed. We will be onboard with you to make sure of it.
